Geonnect Child Safety Standards

1. Our commitment

Geonnect is a social platform intended only for users who are at least 18 years old. Despite this age restriction, Geonnect recognizes that child-safety risks can still arise through user-generated content, communications, impersonation, attempted grooming, or unlawful uploads.

These standards apply to all Geonnect users, visitors, contractors, moderators, and service providers who interact with or support the platform.

2. Definitions

Child

Any person under 18 years of age, regardless of the age of consent or legal adulthood rules in a particular country.

CSAE

Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation, including content or conduct that sexually abuses, exploits, grooms, coerces, traffics, sexualizes, or otherwise endangers a child.

CSAM

Child Sexual Abuse Material, including visual depictions such as images, videos, live streams, computer-generated imagery, or other media involving the sexual abuse or sexual exploitation of a child.

Grooming

Building trust with a child, or a person believed to be a child, to enable sexual contact, sexual conversation, exchange of sexual imagery, exploitation, trafficking, coercion, or abuse.

3. Prohibited content and conduct

Geonnect strictly prohibits users from creating, uploading, requesting, possessing, sharing, distributing, promoting, facilitating, or linking to:

• Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE).
• Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
• Sexual content involving, depicting, or appearing to depict a child.
• Sexualization of minors, including suggestive or exploitative portrayals.
• Grooming or attempts to contact a child for sexual purposes.
• Sextortion, blackmail, coercion, or threats involving a child.
• Solicitation, trafficking, sale, exchange, or exploitation of children.
• Requests for sexual images, videos, livestreams, or meetings involving a child.
• Content that encourages, normalizes, instructs, or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation.
• Links, usernames, codes, groups, or instructions intended to provide access to CSAE or CSAM.
• Attempts to evade detection, moderation, reporting, or law-enforcement action relating to CSAE or CSAM.
• Impersonation of a child or misrepresentation of age for exploitative purposes.

Any violation may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, permanent account termination, preservation of relevant evidence, and reporting to the appropriate authority where required.

4. In-app reporting and user feedback

Geonnect provides users with in-app reporting tools to report profiles, posts, messages, photos, videos, and other content or conduct that may involve child-safety concerns.

When submitting a report, users should provide as much relevant information as possible, including:

• The profile, post, message, or content being reported.
• The reason for the report.
• Any relevant context, date, time, or description.
• Whether there appears to be an immediate risk to a child.

5. Review, enforcement, and response

Geonnect reviews child-safety reports and may prioritize reports involving suspected CSAE, CSAM, grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or immediate risk.

Depending on the circumstances, Geonnect may:

• Restrict access to or remove reported content.
• Temporarily suspend or permanently disable an account.
• Block repeat uploads or attempts to recreate prohibited accounts.
• Restrict messaging, discovery, posting, or other platform features.
• Preserve relevant account and content records when legally permitted or required.
• Cooperate with child-protection agencies and law-enforcement authorities.
• Report confirmed or suspected CSAM where required by applicable law.

Geonnect may take action without prior notice when necessary to protect users, prevent harm, preserve evidence, or comply with legal obligations.

6. Addressing Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

When Geonnect obtains actual knowledge of CSAM or conduct involving CSAE, it will take appropriate action in accordance with these published standards and applicable laws.

Actions may include:

• Prompt removal or disabling of access to confirmed prohibited material.
• Permanent suspension of accounts involved in CSAM or CSAE.
• Preservation of relevant information where legally required.
• Internal escalation to the designated child-safety contact or review team.
• Reporting to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the relevant regional or national authority where required by law.
• Cooperation with lawful investigations and valid requests from competent authorities.

7. Compliance with child-safety laws

Geonnect is committed to complying with applicable child-safety, online-safety, data-protection, reporting, preservation, and law-enforcement cooperation requirements in the countries and regions where the service is available.

Where legally required, Geonnect maintains a process to report confirmed CSAM to NCMEC or the appropriate regional or national authority.

Nothing in these standards limits Geonnect from taking additional protective action when reasonably necessary to prevent harm or comply with law.

8. Preservation, confidentiality, and cooperation

Child-safety reports are handled with appropriate confidentiality. Geonnect may preserve relevant records, account details, content identifiers, timestamps, reports, and related technical information where legally permitted or required.

Information may be shared with child-protection bodies, law-enforcement agencies, courts, regulators, or other competent authorities when required by law or necessary to protect a child.

Users should not publicly redistribute suspected CSAM when making a report. Instead, they should use Geonnect’s reporting tools or contact the designated child-safety contact.

9. Geonnect Child Safety Point of Contact

The following contact is designated to receive child-safety notifications, including potential notifications from Google Play regarding CSAE or CSAM associated with Geonnect.

This contact must be monitored by a person or team able to discuss Geonnect’s enforcement and review procedures and take appropriate action when required.
